Junior Technical Project Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Junior Technical Project Manager to join our innovative team. Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, executing, and closing technical projects aligned with organizational goals using Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies.
• Support project scheduling activities utilizing tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, VersionOne, and TFS to track progress and manage timelines effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, IT infrastructure specialists, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope.
• Facilitate communication among project stakeholders by preparing status reports, conducting meetings, and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to risk management efforts by identifying potential issues early and assisting in developing mitigation strategies.
• Support testing phases by preparing test cases, coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensuring quality standards are met before deployment.
• Assist in project documentation including SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) artifacts, test plans, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure compliance with IT governance standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
• Demonstrated project management experience in technology environments with exposure to enterprise software implementation projects.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies such as PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge), SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), and Agile planning techniques.
• Proficiency with project management tools including Microsoft Project, Jira, VersionOne, TFS, SharePoint, and Visio.
• Strong understanding of SDLC processes, software development practices (including test-driven development), and IT infrastructure components such as databases (SQL, Oracle) and cloud computing platforms like AWS.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and team leadership across diverse technical teams.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of risk management strategies, disaster recovery planning, and IT governance frameworks is advantageous.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
