Junior Test Engineer

Within the Aerospace & Defence division , the selected candidate will be involved in testing, validation, and verification activities of aeronautical systems, contributing to high-tech projects in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and prominent clients.

The position includes a structured growth path, with mentoring and on-the-job training aimed at the progressive development of technical and design skills.

Main Responsibilities

• Support the definition of specifications and test plans in collaboration with engineering and prototyping teams
• Perform tests on aeronautical systems (structural, environmental, vibrational, and functional), initially under supervision
• Analyze and interpret test data, contributing to validation activities
• Assist in drafting technical documentation and test reports
• Support the technical coordination of external suppliers
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methods and tools, with exposure to automation and data analysis topics

Requirements

• Degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
• Basic knowledge of test engineering gained during academic studies, thesis work, or similar experiences
• Familiarity with test plans, test specifications, and test procedures
• Theoretical knowledge of main test types (structural, environmental, vibrational, functional)
• Basic skills in measurement data analysis
• Familiarity with measurement instruments and test environments
• Interest in the aviation/aerospace sector and certification topics
• C/C++ e Python
• Experience: 0–2 years

Nice to Have

• Even brief experience in industrial environments or aerospace projects
• Basic knowledge of data analysis tools or programming languages
• Interest in test automation

Contractual Details

• Type: German Permanent contract
• Salary range: €54,000 – €70,000
• Full-time
• Hybrid work model (based in Germany)
• The final package will be defined during the selection process based on the candidate’s profile and in accordance with IG Metall regulations
