Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior to Mid-Level 3D Developer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between web development and 3D graphics, leveraging Babylon.js to build interactive, high-performance web experiences.

The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in 3D concepts, strong Python skills for backend integration or scripting pipelines, and a passion for creating immersive digital products. Experience with C++ is not necessary but a major bonus and will help you stand out.

Responsibilities & Duties

• 3D Web Development: Develop, optimize, and maintain interactive 3D applications using Babylon.js and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Pipeline Integration: Utilize Python for data processing, backend scripting, or automation of 3D asset pipelines.
• Asset Implementation: Import, optimize, and manipulate 3D models (gITF, OBJ, FBX) and materials within the web environment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with 3D artists, UI/UX designers, and backend engineers to translate design concepts into smooth, functional interactive features.
• Performance Tuning: Troubleshoot and optimize 3D rendering performance across various desktop and mobile browsers.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

• Babylon.js Core: 13 years of experience working with Babylon.js (or strong experience in Three.js with a readiness to switch).
• 3D Fundamentals: Solid understanding of 3D math (vectors, matrices, quaternions), lighting, cameras, texturing, and meshes.
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Python.
• Web Tech: Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React) and HTML5/CSS3.
• Version Control: Experience using Git for source control and collaboration.

Preferred & Bonuses:

• C++ Knowledge: Experience with C++ is highly valued for performance-critical tasks or memory management logic.
• 3D Software: Basic familiarity with DCC tools like Blender, Maya, or Substance Painter.
• Shaders: Basic Understanding of GLSL/HLSL and custom shader development using Babylon JS - NME.
