Junior Trader

Key Responsibilities

• Support the trading and hedging of crude oil derivative products.
• Monitor market developments, price movements, fundamental data, and geopolitical events impacting crude oil markets.
• Assist in the development and execution of trading strategies and risk management initiatives.
• Perform daily market analysis, position reporting, profit and loss monitoring, and trade reconciliation.
• Work closely with risk, and finance teams to ensure accurate trade capture and reporting.
• Build and maintain market models, pricing tools, and analytical reports to support trading decisions.
• Develop market intelligence and provide insights on supply, demand, inventories, refining economics, and macroeconomic trends.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in energy trading, commodities, derivatives, risk management, or a related analytical role.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of futures, derivatives, and financial markets.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Python, VBA, or data analytics tools is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced trading environment.
