Junior Typist Clerk

Duties & Responsibilities

• Type medical reports, discharge summaries, clinic letters, memos, and routine forms into computer systems or electronic medical records (EMR).
• Handle filing, photocopying, scanning, and sorting of physical and digital patient documents.
• Process incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and department notifications.
• Answer telephone calls from patients, staff, and outside agencies, taking messages or routing inquiries to the proper department.
• Assist in updating patient demographic data, organizing file archives, and helping retrieve patient records or charts as needed.

Qualification & Skills

High school diploma, higher secondary certificate, or equivalent; a diploma in computer applications or general office work is often preferred.

Minimum typing speed of 40 to 50 words per minute (WPM) with strong attention to spelling and grammar.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and basic hospital information or database systems.

Good verbal and written communication skills, organizational habits, and the ability to work in a team.

Strict adherence to hospital privacy and data protection standards regarding patient information.

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
