1️⃣ Job Responsibilities

Video Editing

• Edit short-form and long-form content, including social media videos, interviews, podcasts and business-related content.

• Edit and organize raw footage into clear, engaging and well-paced videos.

• Perform basic multi-camera synchronization and editing for interviews and podcasts.

• Remove unnecessary pauses, filler words and repetitive sections to improve content flow.

• Add subtitles, captions, B-roll, music, sound effects, transitions and basic visual elements where appropriate.

• Perform basic colour correction and colour grading to maintain consistent visual quality.

• Export and adapt videos into suitable formats for Facebook, Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube, YouTube Shorts and Xiaohongshu.

Content Shooting

• Assist in filming company content, including host/IP videos, interviews, podcasts, short-form videos and corporate content.

• Assist with camera, lighting and audio setup before shooting.

• Support indoor and outdoor video shoots when required.

• Ensure video footage and audio are properly captured and organized for post-production.

• Provide creative suggestions on framing, camera angles, lighting and visual presentation.

Short-form Content Creation

• Repurpose long-form interviews and podcasts into engaging short-form videos.

• Identify suitable highlights, hooks, key messages and interesting moments from long-form content.

• Create engaging subtitles and visual elements suitable for short-form platforms.

• Keep up with current social media trends, video styles and audience viewing behaviour.

Audio & Post-Production

• Perform basic audio editing, including audio leveling and noise reduction.

• Ensure dialogue and audio quality are clear and consistent.

• Organize footage, audio, project files and completed content systematically.

• Maintain proper file management and backups for ongoing projects.

Creative & Content Support

• Work closely with the Marketing team on content production.

• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas.

• Suggest suitable video styles, visual references, titles, thumbnails and presentation ideas.

• Assist in developing a consistent visual and editing style for company content.

• Support other content production and marketing-related tasks when required.

2️⃣ Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Multimedia, Film Production, Broadcasting, Mass Communication, Digital Media, Creative Media or a related field.

• Fresh graduates and Junior candidates are encouraged to apply.

• Basic to intermediate video editing skills.

• Familiar with at least one video editing software, such as:

• Adobe Premiere Pro

• DaVinci Resolve

• Final Cut Pro

• Familiarity with CapCut / 剪映 (Jian Ying) will be an added advantage.

• Basic understanding of camera operation, lighting, audio setup, framing and visual composition.

• Basic colour correction / colour grading knowledge will be an added advantage.

• Good understanding or strong interest in social media and short-form content.

• Creative with a good sense of visual aesthetics and storytelling.

• Responsible, proactive, organized and willing to learn.

• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with the team.

3️⃣ Language Requirements

• Able to communicate effectively in Mandarin and English, both written and spoken, to support content production and communication with Mandarin- and English-speaking clients, guests and stakeholders.

• Ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia will be an added advantage.

4️⃣ Additional Requirements

• Preferably possess own transportation (motorcycle or car).

• Willing to travel for outdoor shoots when required.

• Comfortable working behind the camera and supporting different types of content production.

• Able to manage multiple editing projects and meet deadlines.

• Passionate about video production, editing, social media and content creation.

• Willing to learn new shooting techniques, editing styles and content formats.

• Strong attention to detail and sense of responsibility.

5️⃣ Portfolio Requirement

Applicants are required to provide at least 2–3 previous video works or editing samples.

Portfolio may include:

• TikTok / Instagram Reels / Xiaohongshu Content
• Podcast / Interview Content
• YouTube Videos
• Commercial / Corporate Videos
• Freelance Projects
• University / College Projects
• Personal Content Projects

Fresh graduates may submit academic, internship, freelance or personal projects as their portfolio.
