Junior Videographer / Photographer / Editor

Ahead Agency
Surrey / Kent / London
Part-time or Full-time | Permanent

About Ahead Agency

Ahead Agency is a growing luxury marketing agency working with premium brands across property, construction, interiors, architecture, kitchens, garden rooms and other high-end sectors.

We create high-quality photography, videography and digital content for our clients, from day-to-day social media content through to larger campaigns, property shoots, brand films and commercial projects.

We are looking for a Junior Videographer / Photographer / Editor to join our growing creative team.

This is an opportunity for someone who is ambitious, creative and wants to build a long-term career within a growing agency. We are open to both part-time and full-time applicants.

The Role

You will work across the full content creation process, including:

  • Photography and videography on client sites
  • Property, interiors, architecture and lifestyle photography
  • Cinematic and editorial-style video
  • Short-form content for Instagram, TikTok and other social platforms
  • Longer-form commercial and brand video
  • Video editing and post-production
  • Colour grading
  • Sound design and audio editing
  • Photo editing, retouching and colour correction
  • Content planning and preparation for shoots
  • Working with the creative team to develop ideas and visual concepts
  • Travelling to client locations across Surrey, Kent, London and throughout the UK
  • Potential UK and international travel as the business expands
  • Helping maintain and organise equipment
  • Working directly with clients and representing Ahead Agency professionally on location

The role will involve a combination of office-based editing and creative work and on-site client shoots.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with a strong creative eye who understands what makes photography and video feel premium, cinematic and editorial.

You don't need years of experience. We're more interested in your ability, attitude, portfolio and ambition.

Essential:

  • 18+
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Access to your own vehicle
  • Comfortable travelling regularly for shoots
  • Experience with photography and videography
  • Experience editing video
  • Good understanding of colour grading and sound
  • Good understanding of composition, lighting and framing
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience working with clients or on-location projects
  • Comfortable working independently when required
  • Comfortable working as part of a creative team
  • Good knowledge of Mac
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud

Software Experience

Experience with the following is preferred:

  • Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Adobe Lightroom
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • DaVinci Resolve
  • After Effects

You don't need to be an expert in every programme. We're looking for someone who is technically capable and keen to continue developing their skills.

Equipment

Professional camera equipment is beneficial, but we are open to candidates with different setups.

Experience with equipment such as:

  • Sony mirrorless/cinema cameras
  • Professional lenses
  • Gimbals
  • Lighting
  • Professional audio
  • Drones

You should be:

  • Creative and visually minded
  • Ambitious and motivated
  • Reliable and organised
  • Comfortable working with clients
  • Willing to learn
  • Confident working on location
  • Able to take direction but also bring your own creative ideas
  • Interested in premium and luxury visual content
  • Someone who takes pride in the quality of their work
  • Comfortable working in a fast-growing business where the role can develop over time

As Ahead Agency grows, there will be opportunities for the successful candidate to take on more responsibility across our creative output.

This could include:

  • Leading client shoots
  • Developing creative concepts
  • Managing production
  • Working directly with larger clients
  • Taking responsibility for video and photography projects
  • Developing into a senior creative/content role
  • Potentially helping shape and manage the agency's future creative team

We want someone who can grow with the business, rather than simply fill a position.

Location & Travel

The role will involve regular travel to client locations.

Our work is primarily across Surrey, Kent and London, but the successful candidate should be comfortable travelling throughout the UK when required.

As Ahead Agency continues to expand, there may also be opportunities for international projects and travel.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are therefore essential.

Working Pattern

We are open to:

Part-time: Ideally 3-4 days per week initially, with the potential to increase.

Full-time: For candidates looking to join the business on a full-time basis.

The exact working pattern will be discussed based on the candidate's experience, availability and suitability for the role.

Salary / Rate

Salary or day rate will be dependent on experience and whether the position is part-time or full-time.

We are looking for the right person rather than simply the cheapest option, and are happy to discuss this with candidates who demonstrate the skills and ambition we're looking for.

Please make sure your portfolio demonstrates your own work.

We are particularly interested in seeing photography, video, editing, colour grading and commercial content, rather than simply social media management.

We're building a growing creative team and are looking for someone who wants to be part of that journey.

Pay: From £28,775.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Company pension
  • Free parking
  • On-site parking
  • Sick pay
