Junior Web Developer & Designer

Position Overview

We are looking for a creative and independent Junior Web Developer & Designer to join our team in Dehradun. In this role, you will not just write code, you will be given a concept or a project brief and will be expected to ideate, layout, design, and develop modern websites entirely on your own. You will also be responsible for maintaining and updating our existing portfolio of client websites, ensuring they remain visually appealing, responsive, and functional.

Key Responsibilities

1. Independent End-to-End Website Creation

• Concept-to-Code: Take a written client brief or concept and turn it into a live website completely on your own, without relying on pre-made UI wireframes or design mockups.
• UI/UX Design: Choose appropriate color palettes, typography, and structural layouts that align with the client’s industry (primarily educational/B2B institutional).
• Responsive Development: Build fully responsive, mobile-first websites using standard frameworks that look flawless across all screen sizes.

2. Website Maintenance & Updates

• Perform routine text updates, image optimization, structural layout tweaks, and theme modifications on existing live sites.
• Debug and resolve cross-browser rendering errors or broken layouts.

Technical & Creative RequirementsCore Coding & Layout Skills

• HTML5 & CSS3: Masterful understanding of layouts (CSS Flexbox, CSS Grid, media queries, and custom styling animations).
• Bootstrap: Strong experience deploying Bootstrap grid systems and utility classes for rapid, reliable web development.
• JavaScript: Solid understanding of Vanilla JavaScript for basic client-side functionality (mobile menus, form validations, tab switches, and popups).

Design Sense & Logic

• Independent Creative Thinking: Ability to structure a homepage logically so that users can naturally find key information easily.
• Asset Management: Ability to source high-quality royalty-free imagery, edit/crop graphics, and optimize file sizes for the web.
• Basic understanding of UI design tools like Figma or Canva to quickly map out your own ideas before coding.
• Familiarity with foundational SEO (heading hierarchies, proper meta tags, descriptive alt text).

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
