Junior/Intermediate Revit Artist

Salary 31-40k Negotiable on experience

Sunlighten are seeking a junior/intermediate Revit artist to join their custom sauna team.

We design, manage, and install custom-built infrared saunas for high-end residential homes, commercial spas, and wellness spaces. We are looking for a sharp, personable Revit Designer with 1–2 years of experience to work directly alongside the Project Director—taking bespoke sauna projects from the initial client consultation right through to 3D visualisation and workshop production drawings.

Responsibilities

1. Revit Modelling & Technical Drawing

• Bespoke 3D Design: Create detailed 3D models of infrared saunas from initial concept through to final production sign-off.
• Custom Family Creation: Build and maintain parametric Revit families for sauna-specific components, including tiered benching, heater units, infrared panels, glass, timber profiles, and concealed LED lighting.
• Construction & Fabrication Packs: Produce clear, dimensioned 2D general arrangement (GA) drawings, elevations, section details, and joinery packs for the workshop and installation teams.
• ​Schedules & Take-Offs: Generate accurate bills of quantities directly from the Revit model.
• ​(On occasion/A bonus) - Visualisation & Rendering: Produce high-quality 3D renders and walkthroughs (using Revit alongside Enscape, Twinmotion, or V-Ray) to help clients visualise timber tones, lighting moods, and spatial flow.

​2. Client Consultation & Relationship Management

• Design Briefings: Meet with residential and commercial clients (in-person, on-site, or via video call) to understand their goals.
• Live Design Reviews: Present 3D models and material samples to customers, walking them through layout ergonomics, bench depths, ceiling heights, and sightlines.
• ​Material & Spec Guidance: Advise clients on timber selections, heater capacities, glass tints, ironmongery finishes etc.
• Revision Management: Handle client feedback and design iterations promptly, balancing customer requests against design/functionality

​3. Site & Project Coordination (Occasional)

• ​Survey Translation: Convert raw site survey measurements, laser scans, or architectural base plans into accurate existing-condition Revit models before starting the sauna layout.
• Meet with customers on site when the project manager is not available.

​Key Attributes & Skills

​Technical Proficiency

• Autodesk Revit Fluency: Deep comfort with interior architectural modelling, custom parametric family creation, view templates, and clean title block setups.
• Technical/Joinery Mindset: An understanding of basic building principles. Ability to learn new building methods. Understanding of joinery and the characteristics of wood.
• ​Spatial Awareness: Strong grasp of human ergonomics and safety clearances (e.g., minimum safe distances around heaters and comfortable bench stepping heights).
• Personal & Client-Facing Qualities
• ​Approachable communication style with the confidence to guide high-end residential clients, spa operators, and interior designers.
• Ability to explain technical drawings in plain English so clients who cannot read 2D plans feel completely confident in what they are buying.
• Detail-Oriented: Disciplined enough to double-check dimensions, door swings, and site constraints independently before presenting drawings for review.
• ​Adaptability: Comfortable juggling multiple projects at different stages—switching smoothly from a technical workshop drawing pack in the morning to a client pitch in the afternoon.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal English
• Revit Experience

Interview

• Phase 1 - Suitable candidates will be invited to complete a cultural index assessment (online 10 mins)
• Phase 2 - Candidates will take part in a brief call to talk through their experience and see if they'd be suitable for the role.
• Phase 3 - Practical assessment - A Revit brief will be provided and you'll have 45 minutes to complete and 15 minutes to present your work and talk through your work flow.
