Junior/Mid Accountant

About the role:

You will own the two major areas in the bank's finance function Tax calculation and filing to the Revenue Department (RD) and the reconciliation universe within the process to prepare the financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and e-file all Revenue Department returns - WHT, SBT, stamp duty and CIT support - within statutory deadlines
• Run the fortnightly vendor payment cycle, including withholding tax review and payment journals
• Perform bank reconciliation and core banking detail vs GL reconciliation (balance sheet and P&L), completing both before each package submission
• Reconcile suspense accounts monthly; investigate and resolve suspicious balances with the Operations team, chasing every item to zero
• Perform GL-to-subledger reconciliations on a monthly basis for the financial close.
• Maintain WHT certificates, tax and reconciliation evidence.
• Post journal entries as part of the financial close process.
• Coordinate with other teams to investigate reconciliation exceptions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Solid understanding of banking operations and business processes
• 3-4 years combining Thai tax compliance (WHT, SBT, CIT; hands-on RD e-filing) and reconciliation-heavy work
• Comfortable with high-volume transaction data (core banking extracts); strong Excel skills
• Tax auditor (TA) qualification is an advantage.
• Fluent Thai and good command of business English.
