Nature of Work

This position is a volunteer position and is unpaid. You will need to complete a volunteer application, be interviewed by the volunteer coordinator, and attend New Volunteer Orientation. A person under the age of eighteen may only become a volunteer with the consent and supervision of their parent or guardian. Mileage, expense reimbursement and paid training may be provided.

Note: Most volunteer opportunities listed are intended to be long term and require a screening and training process to get started. If you need or want to complete a small number of service hours right away, email the Volunteer Resources Manager to find out about any upcoming community service events or to be referred to an outside agency with walk-in volunteer opportunities.

Typical Duties

Under general supervision, will pick up meals from the Thorpe Park Center Kitchen and deliver them to Senior Apartments off of Lake Mary Road. This route takes 30-45 minutes and starts at 10 am. Will be responsible for signing up for days to deliver and signing in to track hours. Typical commitment is one day a week.

Minimum Qualifications Must pass a background check, including driving record. Must be dependable and communicate well. Must have a valid drivers license and insurance
