K-12 Tutor

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated K-12 Tutor to inspire and support students across various grade levels in their academic journey. As a K-12 Tutor, you will work with students from different cultural backgrounds, helping them achieve their educational goals while developing essential skills in core subjects and beyond.

Duties

• Deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions in subjects such as mathematics, science, English language arts, and writing skills
• Develop customized lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with curriculum standards and individual student needs
• Utilize various learning technologies and online instruction tools to enhance the educational experience
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies to maximize understanding and retention
• Communicate clearly with students, parents, and team to track progress and address any challenges promptly

Skills

• Strong knowledge of curriculum development and instructional adaptability across different subjects
• Excellent tutoring skills with experience working with children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles

Required

• Driver's license and have your own reliable car to drive from libraries and/or to students' homes.
• Experience working with children or in a school setting.
• Must be 18 years or older
• Excellent organization and detail oriented skills

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 10.0 per week
