Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Kafka & Kubernetes Developer for a Data Platform Engineering role. The ideal candidate should have strong engineering and architectural knowledge of the Kafka ecosystem, along with experience in platform configuration, monitoring, infrastructure provisioning, and troubleshooting Kafka components deployed in Kubernetes environments.

Key Responsibilities

* Configure and support Kafka ecosystem components, including Kafka brokers, ZooKeeper, KRaft, Schema Registry, and Kafka Connect.

* Understand Kafka architecture and platform operations.

* Monitor Kafka platform health, performance, and observability using Confluent Control Center.

* Deploy Kafka components using Terraform modules and resources for standardized and scalable infrastructure provisioning.

* Build and support CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions to automate Kafka deployments.

* Troubleshoot Kafka components deployed in Kubernetes environments.

* Investigate Kubernetes pod errors to identify deployment and runtime issues.

* Analyze pod logs to diagnose failures and resolve technical issues.

* Apply knowledge of core Kubernetes components to support application deployment and operations.

* Support platform reliability, performance, and operational stability.

Mandatory Skills

* Strong experience in Kafka and Data Platform Engineering.

* Good understanding of Kafka architecture and engineering principles.

* Hands-on experience configuring and supporting Kafka components.

* Knowledge of Kafka brokers, ZooKeeper, KRaft, Schema Registry, and Kafka Connect.

* Experience with Confluent Control Center for monitoring and troubleshooting.

* Experience using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.

* Knowledge of Kubernetes troubleshooting, pod errors, and log analysis.

* Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD workflows.

Good-to-Have Skills

* Good verbal and written communication skills.

* Client-facing experience.

* Ability to communicate technical issues and solutions effectively.

Candidate Requirements

* 5–6+ years of relevant experience.

* Strong engineering and architectural understanding.

* Ability to troubleshoot platform-level issues independently.

* Comfortable working in a hybrid environment and participating in client interviews.

Pay: Up to ₹2,200,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Chennai, Tamil Nadu
