My client is hiring urgently for a KDB Data Engineer to support the design, development and enhancement of high-performance data and analytics solutions. The role will focus on KDB+/q-based applications, large-scale time-series data processing, data pipelines and analytical capabilities within a complex financial-services environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain KDB+/q-based data solutions and analytics.
• Build and enhance data pipelines, data models and reporting datasets.
• Analyse, process and manipulate large-scale financial and time-series datasets.
• Work with large volumes of structured data and implement efficient solutions for querying, storage and analysis.
• Investigate complex data and technical issues, performing root-cause analysis and implementing appropriate solutions.
• Support the development and enhancement of analytical capabilities used across the business.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and communicate complex technical topics clearly to both technical and business audiences.

Skills & Experience

• 2-4 years hands-on KDB Data Engineer with Python skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly when investigating complex data challenges.
• Financial Services experience.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Good understanding of Linux environments.
• Experience supporting business-critical or production data applications.
• Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business users.
