Duties

• Provide exceptional animal husbandry by feeding, watering, cleaning kennels, and monitoring animal health status.
• Maintain accurate record keeping of animal treatments, behaviors, and kennel activities to ensure compliance with clinic protocols.
• Support infection control by cleaning and disinfecting kennels, treatment areas, and equipment using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions and provide compassionate support during check-in and check-out processes at the front desk.
• Assist with emergency situations related to animal welfare or critical care by following established protocols for safety and treatment.

Experience

• Prior kennel experience or animal handling background preferred; experience working in veterinary clinics or shelters is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, behavior, and basic medical procedures such as medication administration.
• Experience with pet care routines including grooming, feeding schedules, and understanding of animal welfare standards.
• Familiarity with record keeping systems related to veterinary practice or animal care documentation.
• Ability to handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques while demonstrating patience and compassion.
• Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of infection control practices, PPE use, and cleaning procedures essential for maintaining a hygienic workspace.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
