Kennel Assistant

Do you love animals, enjoy staying busy, and take pride in doing a job well? Posh 4 Paws Grooming and Boarding is looking for a dependable, hardworking Kennel Technician to join our team!

We are a family-owned grooming and boarding facility that takes pride in providing a safe, clean, and caring environment for the pets entrusted to us. We are looking for someone who is responsible, detail-oriented, and willing to jump in wherever needed to help our team succeed.

What You’ll Do

• Feed and water dogs according to their individual care instructions.
• Clean and sanitize kennels, runs, play areas, and other facility spaces.
• Walk dogs, provide potty breaks, and supervise playtime.
• Monitor pets for changes in behavior or signs of illness and report concerns promptly.
• Assist with basic pet care and bathing as needed.
• Greet customers, provide friendly customer service, and assist with checking pets in and out.
• Handle payments and accurately process customer transactions.
• Follow established cleaning procedures, feeding instructions, and safety protocols.
• Help maintain an organized, professional, and welcoming facility.

What We’re Looking For

• Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
• Comfortable handling dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
• Able to follow instructions, pay attention to details, and work independently when needed.
• Comfortable working in a physically active environment that involves cleaning, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Friendly and professional when interacting with customers.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to work scheduled shifts.
• Previous kennel, animal care, or customer service experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.

Schedule

• Part-time, approximately 20–25 hours per week.
• Evening shifts, including our typical 3:00 PM–8:00 PM shift.
• Must be available to work at least three evenings per week.
• Weekend availability is required, with additional hours potentially available during holidays and busy seasons.
