Kennel Assistant manager

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for animals in our facility. You will work closely with dogs and other pets, ensuring their well-being and comfort while maintaining a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, strong customer service skills, and the ability to handle various breeds and sizes of animals.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist with supervising kennel staff and daily dog-care activities.
• Ensure dogs are safely monitored, handled, fed, exercised, and cared for.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility.
• Assist with staff scheduling, training, and daily assignments.
• Monitor dog behavior and address safety concerns promptly.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding their dogs and daily care.
• Help enforce company policies and safety procedures.
• Assist the Manager with daily operations and step in when the Manager is unavailable.
• Lead by example and maintain a professional, positive work environment.

Requirements:
Previous experience working with dogs is preferred but we are willing to train the right person for the position. The ideal candidate should be responsible, dependable, comfortable supervising others, and able to remain calm and professional in a busy dog-care environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
