Kennel Technician

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care and attention to animals in the kennel facility
• Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their individual needs
• Clean and sanitize kennel areas, including cages, bedding, and common areas
• Monitor the health and well-being of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
• Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
• Administer medications or treatments as directed by staff
• Maintain accurate records of animal care and behavior

Requirements:

• Previous experience in pet care, animal handling, or a related field is preferred
• Knowledge of animal behavior and basic training techniques
• Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments safely and confidently
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and other teamates
• Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting heavy animals or cleaning kennel areas
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification

Pay: $15.50 - $16.00 per hour
