Kennel Technician

Overview

We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team! In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and comfort of the pets in our care. The ideal candidate has a genuine love for animals, strong handling skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding care to both pets and their people.

Duties

• Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, medicating, grooming, and exercising.
• Maintain clean, sanitary kennels and common areas at all times.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals, and promptly report any concerns to management.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs and behaviors.
• Follow all safety protocols are followed while handling animals of various sizes and temperaments.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in pet care, animal shelter work, or veterinary settings is preferred, but not required.
• Comfort and confidence handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments
• Familiarity with dog training techniques is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team environment, while also being self-motivated.
• Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
