Kennel Technician

Duties

• Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, administering medications, and monitoring health status
• Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through thorough sanitization and grooming practices
• Handle animals safely using proper techniques to ensure their comfort and safety
• Assist with updating records
• Support with basic animal handling tasks such as weighing, and behavior observation
• Uphold facility standards by sanitizing equipment and ensuring all animal care areas meet health regulations

Skills

• Previous veterinary experience or veterinary technician background highly preferred
• Strong animal handling skills with knowledge of animal behavior and restraint techniques
• Experience in pet sitting or pet boarding to demonstrate reliability with animals of various temperaments
• Ability to perform lifting safely during kennel setup or cleaning tasks (team lifting encouraged)
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members
• Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and pet care best practices helpful

Pay: $10.00 - $10.01 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 37.5 per week
