Kennel Technician (Part-time)

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and welfare, providing a safe and nurturing environment for pets in our facility. This role involves hands-on interaction with animals, ensuring their health, comfort, and well-being while also assisting with various kennel operations. Weekend availability is required.

Duties

• Provide daily care for dogs and other animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
• Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to appropriate staff.
• Assist in administering medications.
• Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques during grooming.
• Support pet owners with customer service inquiries regarding their pets’ care and well-being.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to animal care supplies or equipment.

Skills

• Experience in dog handling is preferred to ensure effective communication with animals.
• Proficiency in pet grooming techniques to maintain the appearance and hygiene of animals.
• Strong skills in animal care, including knowledge of pet behavior and health needs.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks related to kennel maintenance and animal care.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and team members.
