Kennel Technician/Receptionist

Country Pet Inn is a dedicated training/ boarding facility committed to providing exceptional care for pets. We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Kennel Technician to join our team part time/ as needed who can ensure the well-being of the animals in our care available on weekends, holidays and flexible hours.

The Kennel Technician is responsible for the daily care, cleaning, and maintenance of our kennel facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all dogs. This role requires a love for dogs, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities**

-Feed, water, and monitor the health and behavior of dogs

• Sanitize kennels, runs, and common areas to maintain a hygienic environment.

• Administer medications or treatments as directed by veterinary staff.

• Observe animals for signs of illness or distress and report concerns to superiors

-Lawncare/snow removal, making sure facilities are clean and tidy for guests

• Assist clients with drop-off and pick-up of their pets, providing excellent customer service.

• Follow all safety protocols and facility policies to ensure animal and staff safety.

**Qualifications:**

• Must be 18 years or older

-Must have Reliable vehicle-Preferably 4WD

-Ability to follow instructions as well as work independently

-Must have good problem-solving skills

• Previous experience working with animals (e.g., kennel, shelter, or veterinary setting) is a plus but not required.

• Strong observation skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to handle animals safely and calmly, we are a working dog kennel and experience many dogs from all walks of life will all types of behaviors

• Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts

• A genuine passion for animal care and welfare.
