Key Account Manager

About the role

Manage and grow key accounts to achieve sales targets. Serve as the lead point of contact for assigned Modern Trade key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual business and promotional plans aligned with business objectives to maximize sales growth, volume, and market penetration
• Build strong relationships with customers and negotiate trade terms, pricing, and promotions
• Collaborate with the MT Distributor Key Accounts team to ensure flawless execution of in-store promotions, activations, new product listings, and other trade activities
• Monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to identify new growth opportunities
• Work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure smooth execution and service excellence
• Regularly visit retail outlets to monitor merchandising execution, stock availability, and pricing compliance
• Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and business reviews for internal leadership and customer stakeholders
• Ensure excellent in-store execution and product availability

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in any related field, or equivalent working experience
• Minimum 3 years' experience in Key Account Management
• Prior working experience in the FMCG industry is an extra advantage
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Melayu; Mandarin is an added advantage
