Key Account Support - Pukekohe

Are you customer-focused, commercially minded and great at keeping things moving? We’re looking for a proactive Key Account Support team member to help deliver outstanding service to our key customers and support the continued growth of our branch.

What you will be doing?

Based in our Pukekohe branch, you’ll provide day-to-day sales and account support for key customers managed by the Branch Manager.

You’ll become a trusted point of contact for customers, responding to enquiries, preparing and following up quotations, processing orders and keeping customers informed about product availability, lead times and deliveries.

Working closely with the wider branch and sales team, you will:

• Build strong relationships with allocated customers and understand their ongoing requirements.
• Prepare accurate and competitive quotations and follow up opportunities through to an outcome.
• Process and coordinate customer orders, supplier orders, credits and returns.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales through additional products, alternatives and solutions.
• Work with the Branch Manager and Sales team to support customer account plans and sales activity.
• Monitor customer purchasing trends, open quotations and potential risks or opportunities.
• Support the achievement of branch sales and gross-profit targets.
• Assist on the trade counter and across branch operations when required.

This is a varied role where strong communication, organisation and follow-through will be key to delivering the level of service our customers expect.

What you will bring?

You’ll bring energy, accountability and a genuine commitment to helping customers and branch team to succeed.

You will be confident communicating with customers and comfortable managing multiple enquiries and priorities throughout the day.

Previous experience in internal sales, account support, customer service or a trade-based environment would be valuable. You’ll also bring:

• Experience and knowledge of the Power Utilities market would be favourable.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Experience preparing quotations, processing orders or supporting customer accounts.
• A proactive approach to following up sales opportunities.
• Good attention to detail and numerical ability.
• Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively across sales, branch, credit and supply teams.
• Competent computer skills and the ability to learn new systems.

Experience within the electrical or wholesale sector would be an advantage, but it is not essential. Product training and support will be provided.
