Key Holder/Shift Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead daily store operations during your shift, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Supervise and support sales associates, providing coaching, training, and development to foster a high-performing team.
• Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, conducting stock counts, and coordinating purchasing and replenishment efforts.
• Oversee cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and cashiering activities to ensure accuracy and security.
• Assist with recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Support merchandising initiatives by organizing displays, pricing products accurately, and implementing promotional strategies.

Requirements

• Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles within the retail industry sales team management environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
• Excellent communication skills including managerial communication and phone etiquette.
• Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management, POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills.
• Experience with employee orientation, training & development programs, and interviewing techniques.
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customer bases.
• Knowledge of retail math, sales management strategies, operational management, merchandising, stocking, and pricing is essential.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently with excellent organizational skills and time management.
• Previous experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is preferred but not required.
