Duties

• Craft fun, stylish, and age-appropriate braids tailored to each child's preferences and hair type
• Maintain a clean, sanitized workspace following all sanitation standards and salon protocols
• Consult with parents or guardians to understand desired styles and provide hair care advice
• Manage appointment schedules efficiently using salon software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms
• Upsell retail products like hair extensions, hair care items, and styling tools to enhance client satisfaction
• Educate clients on proper hair care techniques, including hair coloring, threading, and maintenance tips
• Assist in store management tasks including inventory checks, retail sales, and client communication to ensure smooth operations

Skills

• Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on kids’ hairstyles or braiding techniques
• Strong knowledge of hair care, hair extensions, coloring, and styling methods including braiding and hair threading
• Familiarity with salon software systems like MINDBODY for scheduling and client management
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with children and their guardians effectively
• Ability to perform sanitation procedures meticulously to uphold health standards
• Knowledge of store management practices including retail math and upselling strategies
• Experience with barbering tools such as straight razors is a plus for versatile styling options
• Passion for mentoring junior team members and fostering a positive team environment
• Strong understanding of color theory for customized styling solutions
• Ability to handle retail sales confidently while providing exceptional customer service

Pay: $23.02 - $27.73 per hour
