Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, science, arts, and physical education.
• Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and special educational needs, including working with children with autism or requiring early intervention.
• Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments; analyze student performance data to tailor instruction accordingly.
• Incorporate educational technology tools and learning technology platforms to enhance instruction and student engagement.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student development, achievements, and areas for improvement via parent-teacher meetings or digital updates.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers on curriculum development, curriculum implementation, and school-wide initiatives to ensure consistency and high-quality education.

Requirements

• Proven experience teaching young children in a classroom setting, preferably in early childhood or elementary education environments.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
• Familiarity with curriculum development, curriculum implementation, and standardized testing procedures.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
• Ability to adapt instruction based on individual learning styles and student progress monitoring data.
• Experience working with children requiring special education support or early intervention services is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in educational technology integration and learning technology tools used in modern classrooms.
• Valid teaching certification or license in early childhood education or relevant state requirements; Montessori or private school experience is a plus.
