Kiosk Assistant

Overview

We are looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused Kiosk Assistants to join our brand-new YO! Sushi kiosk located inside Tesco Superstore, Kidderminster. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team, delivering fresh, high-quality sushi and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

We are particularly interested in candidates with previous sushi preparation experience who understand the importance of food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present fresh sushi products in accordance with brand standards.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming shopping experience.
• Maintain excellent food hygiene, health & safety, and cleanliness standards at all times.
• Ensure products are well stocked, correctly labelled, and attractively displayed.
• Monitor product quality, freshness, and stock rotation.
• Operate the till accurately and process customer transactions.
• Assist with stock deliveries, inventory management, and replenishment.
• Follow all company procedures and food safety guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily operational goals.
• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the kiosk.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience preparing sushi is preferred. Experience in a sushi restaurant, supermarket sushi counter, or similar food preparation environment will be highly advantageous.
• A positive, friendly, and reliable attitude.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays when required.
• Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or food preparation is desirable.
• A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
