Kitchen Aide

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our food service department five (5) hours per day, five (5) days per week. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and ensure that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene while supporting the food service department in delivering nutritious meals to students in PK-12. Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Handle food safely by adhering to food safety standards and regulations.
• Assist with serving meals to students.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.

Experience

• Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
• Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, and food service is highly desirable.
• Experience in the restaurant or culinary industry is a plus, showcasing knowledge of kitchen operations.
• Strong understanding of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
