KITCHEN ASSISTANT

Kitchen Assistant (Dishwashing Focus) As a Kitchen Assistant (Kitchen Porter) at Sprout, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly and safely.

This role is primarily focused on dishwashing and kitchen cleaning , making sure chefs and the wider team always have clean equipment to work with. You may also support with light prep and general kitchen tasks.

You don’t need previous experience — what matters most is a positive attitude, reliability, and pride in keeping things clean and organised .

Reporting to: General Manager

Contract: Full-time & Part-time available

Pay: €14.15 per hour

Availability (Important)

• Preferred shift: Afternoon / evening — 1:00pm to 10:00pm
• Weekend availability required, with shifts starting from 7:00am

What You’ll Be Doing Dishwashing & Cleaning (Main Responsibility)

• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently and safely
• Keep the dishwashing area clean, organised, and running smoothly

Hygiene Hero

• Follow daily and weekly cleaning checklists
• Ensure all kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment meet Sprout’s hygiene standards

Kitchen Support

• Help with basic food prep (washing veg, simple tasks) when required
• Support chefs and the wider kitchen team during busy periods

Food Safety & Health & Safety

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures at all times
• Work with the GM to maintain a safe and well-organised kitchen

Team Support

• Jump in where needed, especially during peak service times
