Job Description

We are looking for a hardworking, reliable, and team-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness and organization, and support the kitchen staff in ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, work areas, utensils, and storage areas.
• Assist cooks and kitchen staff during food preparation and service.
• Properly store food items and ingredients according to food safety standards.
• Monitor and replenish kitchen supplies when needed.
• Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Dispose of waste properly and keep the kitchen clean and organized.
• Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen, food service, restaurant, or hospitality experience is an advantage but not required.

• Willing to learn and able to follow instructions.

• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.

• Good teamwork and communication skills.

• Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays when required.

• Food safety knowledge or training is an advantage.
