Kitchen Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a kitchen assistant to support in the preparation and serving of nutritionally balanced meals for children attending the Nursery.

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday from 9 am - 3.30 pm

Responsibilities

• Helping to Prepare a variety of ingredients- Washing pots after meal times

• Ensure food safety standards are met at all times

• Help with stock rotation and ordering supplies

• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment

• To meet health and safety and environmental health requirements at all times.

• .To liaise with nursery staff regarding children’s specific dietary requirements.

• To attend any training events or Nursery events as identified by the Nursery Manager.

Experience

• Previous experience working in a kitchen setting is desirable
• Knowledge of meal preparation techniques, allergens and culinary skills is desirable
• Ability to work well in a fast paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
