Kitchen Assistant

Ohinemuri Lifecare, Paeroa | 49 hours per fortnight, worked according to a two-week rotating roste.

Ohinemuri Lifecare in 24 Keepa Avenue | Paeroa 3600, part of the New Zealand Aged Care Services (NZACS) group, is looking for a reliable Kitchen Assistant to support our Cook in preparing and serving meals for our residents.

About the role

• Assist with food preparation, plating, and serving meals in line with menus and dietary requirements.

• Wash dishes, pots, and kitchen equipment, and keep the kitchen clean and tidy.

• Support stock rotation, storage, and basic ordering tasks.

• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times.

• Assist with setting up and clearing dining areas as needed.

About you

• Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is an advantage but not essential.

• A hardworking, reliable attitude and willingness to learn.

• Comfortable working as part of a small, busy team.
