Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation by washing, peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients efficiently.
• Support cooking processes by setting up stations, measuring ingredients, and following recipes accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including surfaces, utensils, and equipment, adhering strictly to food safety standards.
• Help with food safety procedures such as proper storage of ingredients and monitoring expiry dates.
• Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous and professional manner when required.
• Support the team during busy service times by managing supplies and ensuring all items are stocked appropriately.
• Follow health and safety guidelines consistently to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food service is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key!
• Basic cooking skills with an understanding of meal and food preparation techniques.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards in a kitchen setting.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues.
• Familiarity with serving or front-of-house duties is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to follow instructions carefully and adhere to all health regulations.

Full training provided

You don’t need to have worked in a kitchen before. We will provide full training and support, so you can learn everything you need to do the job confidently.

Pay: £8.50-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
