Kitchen Assistant

Overview

Tokia Square is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our team. You will support the kitchen team with food preparation, cleaning and general kitchen duties, helping to keep the kitchen running smoothly during busy service periods.

Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not essential, as training can be provided. We are looking for someone who is reliable, works well as part of a team and is comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

* Assist with basic food preparation, including washing, chopping and portioning ingredients.

* Support chefs and other kitchen staff during food preparation and service.

* Keep kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils clean and organised.

* Assist with washing up and general cleaning duties.

* Store ingredients and supplies correctly and maintain good stock organisation.

* Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times.

* Help maintain a clean and safe working environment.

* Carry out other reasonable kitchen duties as required during busy periods.

Requirements

* Previous experience in a restaurant, kitchen or catering environment is preferred but not essential.

* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

* Reliable, punctual and willing to learn.

* Good teamwork and communication skills.

* Good understanding of basic hygiene and food safety practices is desirable.

* Able to stand for extended periods and carry out physical kitchen duties.

* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends where required.

Pay: £10.49-£16.43 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
