Job Overview

Join our team as a Kitchen Assistant in Little Explorers Daycare Culloville. In this role, you will support the kitchen staff by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld. Support the cook in providing break cover to staff throughout the morning. Support the staff with light housework duties such as laundry and cleaning floors. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced setting, making a positive impact on every guest experience.

Working hours are 9.30am-2pm daily, this role can be 3-5 days per week.

Responsibilities

Assist with meal preparation by chopping, peeling, and organizing ingredients..
Support the cook in maintaining a clean kitchen and food preparation environment.
Participate in serving meals when needed.
Follow all health and safety regulations to create a safe environment for staff and children.
Support the cook in providing break cover to staff throughout the morning. Support the staff with light housework duties such as laundry and cleaning floors.

Experience
Familiarity with meal preparation, food safety protocols, and kitchen equipment is preferred.
Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role.

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
