Kitchen Assistant

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with meal preparation, food safety, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

Duties

• Assist in meal and food preparation, ensuring all ingredients are prepared according to recipes and standards
• Support the kitchen team with event setups and service as required
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work stations
• Help with basic cooking tasks under supervision to develop culinary skills
• Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
• Assist with stock rotation, inventory checks, and replenishment of supplies
• Support the team during busy periods to ensure efficient service delivery
• KP duties

Requirements

• Previous experience in catering or food preparation is essential
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
• Basic cooking skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work weekday split shifts and weekends
• A positive attitude and eagerness to develop kitchen expertise
