Jerky Production Assistant — Casual / Part-Time

At Punk Jerky, we make bold, small-batch beef jerky using high-quality beef and a lot of flavour.

We’re a small team based at Madjeston Milk Farm in Dorset. We work hard, use great ingredients, and constantly experiment with new flavours. In the past, we’ve made Blueberry + Garlic beef jerky, Pheasant Jerky, and even Salmon Jerky.

We’re looking for a reliable, detail-focused person to help with our weekly production.

Key responsibilities

• Cutting and preparing raw meat
• Slicing and marinating beef
• Cooking jerky safely and consistently
• Packing cooked products for dispatch
• Cleaning down equipment and work areas
• Following food hygiene and safety procedures at all times

Ideal profile

You’ll be a good fit if you:

• Like steak, biltong, beef jerky, or good food in general
• Have experience using kitchen knives
• Have strong attention to detail
• Can follow instructions carefully
• Are reliable, clean, and organised
• Are comfortable doing practical, repetitive work
• Can use your own initiative when needed
• Work well in a small team
• Have Level 2 Food Hygiene & Safety, or are willing to complete the certification

Previous kitchen or food production experience is useful, but not essential if you’re reliable, careful, and willing to learn.

• We usually produce on Monday- Thursday every other week but this can vary
• We do our best to work with the team to find times that suit everyone
• This job is hiring for October- December to help manage production during our christmas season.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 6.0 – 22.0 per week
