Kitchen Assistant

We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Blackmill Bar & Kitchen.

You’ll support our chefs with food preparation and help keep the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is keen to learn.

Your duties will include:

• Preparing vegetables, salads and other ingredients.
• Assisting with basic food preparation and plating as directed by the chefs.
• Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Keeping work areas, floors and storage areas clean and tidy.
• Putting deliveries away and rotating stock.
• Following food hygiene and safety procedures.
• Helping with kitchen opening and closing tasks.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is dependable, punctual and willing to get stuck in.
• Works well in a team and follows instructions.
• Can stay organised during busy services.
• Takes pride in cleanliness and attention to detail.
• Is available for shifts including evenings and weekends.
• Previous experience in a busy kitchen is essential

Pay: £12.71-£13.71 per hour
