KITCHEN ASSISTANT

Overview

MONDAY - FRIDAY 3AM TO 8-30AM

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation
• BAKING PIES AND SAUSAGE ROLLS
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met
• Support the catering team by preparing ingredients and organizing supplies for service
• Follow food safety protocols diligently to prevent contamination and ensure quality standards
• Serve food in accordance with established procedures, ensuring presentation and portion control
• Help with inventory management by organizing stock and notifying supervisors of supply needs
• Contribute positively to team efforts by staying proactive, adaptable, and attentive during busy service times

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
• Basic cooking skills or familiarity with meal preparation techniques is advantageous
• Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards is beneficial
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting or moving supplies
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are important for success in this role
• A genuine interest in culinary arts, food service, or hospitality will help you thrive in our lively kitchen environment

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 27.5 per week
