Kitchen Assistant

Overview: We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our culinary operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of our kitchen. Responsibilities:

Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and marinating meats

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area

Assist the chef or cook in cooking and plating dishes

Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations at all times

Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow and timely service

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Pot-wash and cleaning down the kitchen

Requirements:

Previous experience of working in a kitchen or restaurant setting is required

Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation is a plus

A desire to work in a kitchen and desire to progress

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively

Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures

Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
