Kitchen Assistant

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Prep Assistant to help support our kitchen team at our donut shop. This position works alongside the main cook to prepare food and keep the kitchen organized, clean, and running efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist the main cook with daily food preparation
• Roll and prepare kolaches
• Prepare breakfast tacos and other breakfast items
• Wash, cut, portion, and organize ingredients
• Assist with prepping food for the day's service
• Keep food preparation areas clean and organized
• Wash dishes and kitchen utensils as needed
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Help restock ingredients and supplies
• Assist the kitchen team with other tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Comfortable standing for extended periods
• Able to lift and carry food supplies as needed
• Willing to learn and follow instructions
• Previous kitchen or food-service experience is a plus, but not required
• Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is dependable, works well with others, pays attention to cleanliness, and is willing to jump in wherever help is needed. This is a hands-on position that is a great fit for someone who enjoys working in a busy food-service environment.

No previous experience required — we are willing to train the right person.

Pay: $9.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
