Kitchen Assistant

The Whitehall Restaurant & Bar is seeking a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support daily kitchen operations, assist with food preparation, and help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with daily food preparation
• Wash, peel, cut, and prepare ingredients as directed
• Help with basic cooking and food assembly when required
• Maintain clean and organized workstations
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Restock ingredients and kitchen supplies
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures
• Properly store and label food items
• Assist with receiving and organizing kitchen supplies
• Support opening and closing kitchen duties
• Work cooperatively with chefs and the kitchen team
• Help maintain a safe and efficient kitchen environment

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen, restaurant, or food-service experience is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen procedures
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Good attention to cleanliness and organization
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen duties
• Reliable, hardworking, and professional

Schedule

Full-time restaurant schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay: £17.00-£22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 33.0 per week
