Duties

• Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, and organizing ingredients according to recipes and standards
• Support cooking activities under supervision, ensuring quality and presentation are maintained
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment to uphold food safety standards
• Handle food items safely during storage, handling, and transportation to prevent contamination
• Prepare meal components in line with menu specifications for efficient service during busy hours
• Support catering events by setting up stations, serving dishes, and managing replenishments as needed
• Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment for everyone

Skills

• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods
• Excellent knife skills for precise cutting, slicing, and dicing of ingredients
• Experience in meal preparation and food handling within a restaurant or catering setting
• Familiarity with food safety protocols and hygiene standards in the food industry
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment with attention to detail
• Good understanding of food service operations and customer-focused service skills
• Prior kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
