Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and being part of a busy team? We’re looking for a friendly, motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen team at our garden centre restaurant in Mintlae.

The Role...

This position is offered on a zero hours contract, providing flexibility to work around your availability, with hours offered in line with business needs.

As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll support the day-to-day running of our busy kitchen, helping to prepare food, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and ensure a smooth and efficient service.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be part of a team delivering a great food experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and cooking of food, from light lunches to hot meals
• Following company recipes, quality and presentation standards
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment at all times
• Supporting with kitchen porter duties, including washing dishes and equipment
• Following all health & safety, food hygiene and food safety procedures
• Communicating effectively with front of house staff and management
• Assisting with stock deliveries and storage
• General day-to-day support within the kitchen
• Some lifting involved (a good level of fitness is helpful)

Pay: £8.00-£12.75 per hour
