Jindalee is seeking an experienced Kitchen Assistant to join our experienced kitchen team. If you are looking for a rewarding opportunity in aged care, this role could be for you!

About the role:

As the Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting with the preparation and distribution of all meals to residents
• Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure meals are delivered on time
• Ensuring the high quality of food is maintained
• Managing specific dietary requirements when preparing food
• Maintaining a safe and clean kitchen workspace

To be considered you will need the following:

• Experience in aged care or in the hospitality industry
• Knowledge of the HACCP food safety system
• Certificate in commercial cookery (desirable)
• Food and safety course completed (desirable)
• Demonstrated knowledge of kitchen operations and management of kitchen staff
• Availability to work weekends
• Ability to prepare nutritious meals within set time frames
• Excellent communication
