Kitchen Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and food assembly to support chefs and cooks in delivering delicious dishes efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing supplies
• Follow food safety standards and hygiene practices to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests
• Support with inventory management by restocking ingredients and kitchen supplies as needed
• Help serve food to guests or customers in accordance with established procedures
• Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers to minimize waste and maintain freshness
• Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of quality, speed, and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

• Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or a culinary environment is preferred but not required
• Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy kitchen setting
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities to coordinate effectively with staff
• A proactive attitude with a passion for food service and hospitality
• Prior kitchen experience or culinary training is a plus but not mandatory
