Kitchen Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food service. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, ensure safety and cleanliness standards are maintained, and contribute to a smooth kitchen operation. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced food environment while supporting various kitchen functions.

Duties

• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to assist in food preparation and cooking processes.
• Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency and quality of dishes.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and maintain workflow.
• Assist with food preparation tasks, including slicing using proper cutting methods.
• Support food safety management by adhering to hygiene standards and safety protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment through regular cleaning duties.
• Assist in boxing up to-go orders and perform expo tasks to ensure timely service delivery.
• Contribute to safety standards during production, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or kitchen environments is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
• Familiarity with food safety practices and handling kitchen equipment is advantageous.
• Experience with food preparation, cooking, and food service operations will be beneficial for success in this role.
