Duties

• Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning meals to ensure timely service
• Support cooking activities by following established recipes and instructions under supervision
• Handle food safely by practicing proper hygiene, storage, and handling procedures in accordance with food safety regulations
• Serve food to guests efficiently and courteously, ensuring presentation meets quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
• Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to keep the kitchen well-organized and prepared for service
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to create a safe environment for staff and customers

Skills

• Experience in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating familiarity with kitchen operations
• Knowledge of food handling practices and safety standards within the food industry
• Ability to assist with meal preparation and cooking tasks efficiently under supervision
• Strong serving skills with a friendly, professional attitude towards guests
• Good understanding of kitchen safety protocols and hygiene procedures
• Previous experience in food industry roles preferred but not required; training provided for motivated learners
• Excellent teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with chefs and fellow staff members
