Kitchen Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our pastry chef in a dynamic culinary environment. This role involves assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about working in a professional kitchen setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pastry chef with daily food preparation tasks, including ingredient setup and basic baking support.
• Support the team in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning workstations, and proper storage of ingredients.
• Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying the team of low stock items.
• Follow all safety and hygiene standards to ensure a safe working environment.
• Support other kitchen staff as needed to ensure efficient operation during busy periods.
• Contribute positively to a team-oriented environment focused on quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under supervision and follow instructions accurately.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if necessary.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
